12 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Bokaro district on Friday. A 23-year-old man’s report came positive for corona infection before being brought to the police station by B.S.City Police when caught illegally selling liquor, a 55-year-old staff from Sadar Hospital, a 44-year-old woman from Camp 2, 51-year-old staff from Chas Block office, 8 staff of State Bank of India main branch located in Sector 4, which include a 49-year-old male, a 53-year-old male, a 32-year-old male, a 27-year-old female, a 51-year-old male, a 35-year-old male, a 30-year-old female and 38-year-old male. All have been shifted to the Covid Hospital.
Also, 11 people recovered completely from the infection and were released from the District Covid Care Center at ANM Training Center located at Camp 2. All 11 people returned to their homes, where they would be in home quarantine for 14 days completely following the SOP. A 24-year-old female from OTC center, a 39-year-old male from Sector-8/C, a 48-year-old male from Sector-6/D resident, a 65-year-old male of DC office, a 32-year-old male of DC office, a 35-year-old male of DC office, a 40-year-old female of civil office, a 22-year-old female resident of Muslim Mohalla of Chas block, a 50-year-old male resident of Sector-6/D, a 36-year-old male from DC Office and a 40-year-old male resident of Sector-6/D.
The total number of active cases in District Bokaro now stands at 211. In the samples whose reports came in today, 86 have come as negative. Deputy Commissioner Shri Rajesh Singh has appealed again to the public to cooperate with the district administration in fighting the corona crisis and to follow the SOP.
