A major confusion was created in Bokaro with the official site quoting 81 cases reported in the district on Thursday. The Bokaro district administration had informed that there were 10 new positive cases in the district. With both quoting different numbers, it was natural for the residents to go into a panic mode with the large number of cases reported by the official site. It has now been clarified by Bokaro DC that there were indeed only 10 new cases of coronavirus reported in Bokaro district while the 81 number quoted on the official site was incorrect and was as a result of the backlog which is now being corrected. Civil Surgeon Dr Ashok Kumar Pathak also confirmed that the number of cases reported in Bokaro on Thursday was only 10 and that the official site was showing incorrect data. The same can also be verified by adding up the number of cases for the state.
Providing details again on the cases reported on Thursday, Bokaro DC confirmed that a total of 10 new Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Bokaro district. 8 cases were confirmed via reports from PMCH Dhanbad and 2 reports came in from private hospitals from Ranchi.
