Woman From Simdega Gives Birth In Shramik Special Train At Bokaro Station.

Thousands of workers are returning to their homes in Jharkhand every day. Shramik special trains from other states are arriving at different stations in Jharkhand including Bokaro during the nationwide lockdown due to Coronavirus infection. In the Shramik Special train that arrived from Ernakulam, Kerala to Bokaro on Monday, a woman gave birth to a child.

The pregnant woman was travelling in the Shramik special train. As the train reached Bokaro station, she suddenly started experiencing labor pain. There were no female doctors in the train. SDO Shashi Prakash Singh sent the RPF women staff and medical team to coach-12 in which the woman was travelling. With their help, she delivered the child.

Rupesh Tiwari, a deputed officer in the train coach, said that as soon as the train arrived, the people in the coach informed about the woman developing labor pain. This information was given to SDM Shashi Prakash Singh. The medical team then reached the coach with the help of women policeman and the woman delivered there. The woman’s name is Aseema and she is 20 years old. Her husband Jolson told that he used to work in the tiles factory in Balchira, Kerala and had got stuck there in lockdown. Their hometown in Chhotki Bevra (Kurdeg) of Simdega district.

Ritesh Kumar Keshari, ASI and Sangeeta Tiwari of RPF played important roles in getting quick aid and helping the women in the delivery of the child.
